Ocean & Earth International Teenage Rampage will see some of the best junior surfer from NSW, QLD, VIC and SA take on a select group of internationals at Cronulla on from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 January, 2011.


Entry into the event is via Qualification Only with the top 4 placed groms from each Regional Qualifier invited to compete.


Le-Ba has 4 groms - Mikey Wright, Tom Snellgrove, Zac Wightman and Jake Snellgrove in the event. Good luck fellas.

Update Jan 21st
All the groms made a good start today in the opening rounds. Despite his first heat Mikey Wright managed to bag a perfect 10 from the judges later in the competition with the highest combined wave score of the day 17.33 at the International Teenage Rampage.


"Opening with a (7.55) was great but when I got the 10 I was ecstatic to get a perfect score on the board,".


The groms will surf 3 rounds with each subsequent round allocated a higher points as each round placing points are increased by 34.85%.

Consistent waves, great performances and a light NE wind defined the second day of the Ocean & Earth International Teenage Rampage.


The innovative approach to the traditional junior surfing competition, unearthed the new wave of Australian surfing talent, competitors were greeted again with rippable one-metre waves.


Competition heated up producing the best heat of the day as the boys U16s went wave for wave in heat 1 pulling out some rapid fire surfing between Jonnie Keith and Tom Snellgrove.


At the end of the day Mikey Wright was placed 1st in the Under 16 Boys with Tom finishing the event in 12th - well done Tommy. In the Under 13 Boys Zac finished 13th and Jake finished 15th. Congratulations groms for making a big mark on an international event.

After being on the top of the leader board for the first 3 rounds Mikey went down in the semis to finish 5th. Still a great result mate, well done.
