Update July 10th
Onshore 1m - 1.5m waves and grey skies were on the menu at the Skullcandy Oz Grom Open for finals day today. Mikey Wright won his man on man semi final but had to settle for 2nd in the final against good mate Leo Fioranta. Mikey had a hand full of waves that were nudging the excellent range but was left chasing a 9.71. Congratulations mate. In the U14's Zac Wightman was throwing everything he had into some big airs but couldn't stick the landings and finished 4th. Luke Condon finished his great run in the event in 5th. Well done groms. Congratulations to all the club members who put in their time during the event.

Update July 9th
Huey smiled upon the Skullcandy Oz Grom Open today with beautiful weather and excellent 1m - 1.5m waves peeling left and right all day in front of the pub at Lennox. The performance level in all divisions went up another notch again with many 9.0+ rides. Mikey Wright powered his way into the U16's semi finals with controlled radical surfing. Jake Snellgrove's incredible run came to and end in a stacked quarter final and he finished 5th. Congratulations Bink. In the U14's Zac Wightman and Luke Condon are into the final day. Special mention to Zac for nailing the biggest frontside air reverse of the event in front of a very appreciative audience.  Zak Condon was unlucky to be eliminated in round 4. Well done Zak.The day finished with an intensly bright double rainbow arcing from the competition area to the point which may go down as the most photographed " oh my god it's a full double rainbow all the way " in history.

In the Under 16 Boys division Mikey Wright started the day in Ht 1 with a dominant display of critical backhand surfing to easily progress to round 3. Luke Hynd was a stand out in the 16's with the young goofy foot absolutely destroying the Lennox Pub lefts. Jake Snellgrove also posted a solid win.
