This is the last ASP Prime for 2013 and Stu Kennedy really needs a big result to determine his plans for next year. Good luck fellas.

BRIEF OVERVIEW: A new pulse of decent size NW swell shows by Tuesday the 26th with overhead sets at Sunset and easterly Trades. That swell eases through mid week, but a possible large NW swell may charge the North Shore by Friday the 29th. Conditions over the second half of the new week are still suspect at this time, as a front moves into the region.

Update Nov 30th

Update Dec 1st
Mello had a comfortable win in the smaller conditions today . He showed his experience in the Sunset line up by waiting for the right waves to  get the bigger scores. Adam moved from 4th to 1st after the hooter because he is the Iceman or possibly a magician. He surfs next in the first heat in the round of 32.

Date: Saturday 23rd November Time: 7:00am Where: Meet at Ballina Lighthouse Car Park.

Be the Influence Australian Boardriders Battle NSW North Qualifier started today in picture-perfect four foot waves in Booti Booti National Park. James Wood made his mark on the Skins division, successfully winning two straight heats and locking in a 9.17 on the very first wave of the morning. Woody's awesome run continued in the Teams Division when he threw down a giant alley-oop aerial to help the Le-Ba team move through into the first Teams’ final.

“I was first surfer in the Teams’ division which gave me a really good opportunity to get some decent waves. The waves here today were just incredible and pretty much as good as it gets. To represent my club is always such a good feeling. Hopefully we’ll be able to qualify for the National Final at Cronulla and get some decent waves in Sydney.”

At the end of Day 1 Le-Ba is currently in 3rd position. Good luck tomorrow crew.

Wahu Surfer Groms Comp, Coffs Harbour ran in punchy two-to-three foot waves at Diggers Beach over the weekend. Nathan McKenzie, Angus Baker, Dembe Ryan, Jack and Harry O'Brien headed South to Coffs to have a crack.
The Wahu Surfer Groms comps cater for the mini, mirco groms (U/8) to the big kids alike (U/14) of any level, and is all about providing a fun, but competitive environment. Over the years this series has provided our keen grommets their first chance at competing out of town against the next crew of up coming little rippers.
Harry O'Brien made the Under-8 Mixed final and finished 3rd. Jack O'Brien also finished 3rd in the Under-10 Boys. Congratulations fellas.

One of our members & also a Lennox Dolphins member entered a Tooheys competition last year for the 'New Crew' to come and finish off a club house in your community. The application is the club house at Williams reserve – controlled by Lennox Combined Sports Assoc (which Le-Ba is a member of) the nomination on behalf of the Lennox Dolphins (League) and Le-Ba ended up winning over hundreds across the state!
The Ballina shire council have agreed to change the usage – so the top level can be enclosed and we will soon have a combined club house with other sports groups from Lennox.
 • Tooheys are pumping about $90,000 into it – will feature on the Footy Show
 • Need labourers from all combined sports on the 8th and 9th of November.
 • Need to put the call out to all Le-Ba members to give a hand – keeping in mind we will be asking again when we start building the shed at the soccer ground.
 • Once complete we will be able to house all our trophies and memorabilia and have a place to hold meetings, functions and enjoy a cold Tooheys.

• Wednesday, 6 November– Thursday, 7 November 2013: Paul Gillespie and Tooheys New Crew builders work with local suppliers/builders to renovate club
 • Friday, 8 November 2013: Paul "The Chief" Harragon, Paul Sironen and David Peachey (TBC) arrive to assist with renovations. The Crew will also shout a few beers at various local pubs that night.
 • Saturday, 9 November 2013: The TNC and local volunteers work to finish renovations by midday. Around midday the Tooheys New Crew hand back completed renovations to the community and if it can be organised play a game of cricket against the community.
 • Sunday, 10 November 2013: Tooheys New Crew depart.

Update Sept 7th
Mello took control in the round of 16 and the Quarter Finals. He smashed Brother in his semi with a 16.60 heat total, matching the backhand attack and going more critical . In the Final Adam did the best he could in the crappy onshore conditions but could not find any waves that would allow him to get the score and finished 2nd. Mello gets 5200 ratings points and should secure his place on the 2014 WCT Tour. Congratulations mate.
“It’s a bummer that we didn’t get many waves at high tide, but I’m pretty happy, Tomas got me on that first exchange, that’s what set him up. I like power surfing and if you can do big turns on a small wave they’re going to love it so that’s what I was trying to do. I really wanted to get on the podium this time and get a positive vibe going through the next few events through Europe, it’s a good start and I’m looking forward to the next !”
