Update April 25th
Mikey McDonagh has won the U14 division at the Oz Grom Cup in small conditions at Coffs. It was a really tough final with a competitor dropping a 9.5 in the first 30 secs. The same competitor then engaged Mikey in a couple of huge paddle battles. Mikey smashed a long left to lock in a 9.3 and there was only 0.5 points between 1st and 2nd. Towards the end of the Final the same competitor snaked Mikey by taking off in the white water and forcing Mikey to kick out. The judges rightfully scored a snaking interference and handed Mikey the win.Well done mate
Harry O'Brien finished 4th in a close U8 Final and Mahlia finished 3rd in the U12 Girls.
Congratulations groms.

Jack Murray made his journey south to the NSW Open State Titles and Cadet Cup worthwhile when he took down an in-form field to claim the Under-16 Boys Cadet Cup final. Jack found several diamonds in the rough and managed to snatch the win late in the Final at North Shelly Beach in wild 5'-6' waves.
More to come......
