Mello and Stu have both had great results there before and will be looking to kick off 2015 on a positive note. Good luck fellas.

Update Jan 30th
The event kicked off today in fun 3' waves at Burleigh. Elliot had a solid win in the round of 96 and moved into round 2. Stu was ripping and took the win to move into round 3 with a 14.90 total.
“I’m excited about this year and to start with a heat win at Burleigh feels great. I have financial support from new sponsors through Carve and Firewire, which takes pressure off and allows me of focus on just surfing. Burleigh is a favorite wave of mine and just an hour from home and it’s good to get back to work!”
The conditions deteriorated later in the day with the NE wind but Mello did enough to move into round 3.

Update Jan 31st
Elliot couldn't find the good waves in the tricky conditions and went out in round 2.

Update Feb 1st
Mello looked unbeatable all event but unfortunately couldn't back up his 7.75 in the Final and finished 4th to claim 525 points and $900 to spend in the garden section at Bunnings. Well surfed mate.
Stu Kennedy had a win in round 3 and 2nd in his quarter but couldn't find the larger waves in the semi and finished 7th.
