Fiji Pro 2015 Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour's Stop No. 5 runs June 7th - 19th at Tavarua Island, Fiji. Adam Melling will be there looking for some mega pits. He starts in Ht 10 with Joolz and Jadson. The first couple days of the event waiting period should see smaller leftovers from the swell that peaked on Friday. Small/fun size SW swell looks likely for the 10th-11th, with good potential for a strong SW groundswell the 12th-14th. Good luck Mello.

Update June 12th
The event finally started today in fun 4'-5' waves at CloudBreak. Mello was in a solid position throughout his heat but the extremely long lulls made it tricky. Jadson cranked it right up towards the end of the heat leaving Adam with priority chasing a 9.57. Mello found a bomb, annihilated it and laid down the highest single wave score of the heat ( 9.00 ) but came up 0.57 short. He surfs next in Ht 9 round 2 with Wilko.

Update  June 14th
Much bigger and more powerful conditions today. Mello had a great day at the office today with a Round 2 win over Wilko. Adam found a sick double section tube to score 8.90 and a pit followed by some massive turns to score a 8.70. Not included in his 17.60 total was an 8.10 throwaway. He surfs next in round 3 with Toledo.

Update June 15th
A huge day today for Mello in semi maxing out conditions at CloudBreak. He pulled into some crazy pits that wouldn't let him out but did enough to eliminate Toledo in round 3. In the round 4 NL round he pulled in to anything that came near him but couldn't find the exits. Adam's round 5 heat was one of the best in the event so far. The swell was getting huge and the wind was howling. Owen was in the right spot for a couple of bombs and got tubed off his nut scoring a perfect 20. Mello didn't give up though getting some cavernous bazzas and laying down the biggest turns of his life. He finished 9th but leaves the event with thousands of new fans and in career best form. Yeah Mello !!

40th annual BK Memorial runs over the June long weekend on the Byron Shire beaches. The event is in honour of the late Ben King, former president of Byron Boardriders. A massive Le-Ba crew have entered the event. Good luck to all the club surfers this weekend and have fun !

Update Saturday 6th
Day 1 ran at the Wreck in fun 2'-3' rights. The tide was a little low first thing but once there was some water on the bank it started firing with some epic little bazzas. The out going tide late in the arvo made things a little harder but there was still some great waves. Stand out surfers on the main bank were Zac Wightman and Stu Kennedy.

Update Sunday 7th
A smaller ESE swell greeted surfers on day 2 of the BK Memorial so the event ran at Broken Head in clean 3' shifty peaks. Stu started the day with a big win nailing 2 high excellent scores and will be hard to beat in the Opens. Max Perrot was solid in the 50's and progressed to the Final. Zac Wightman was ripping and hucked a big tail high frontside rotator to book a spot in the Final of the 18's. Luke Condon also progressed and will be looked to put it all together on Monday in a stacked 18's Final. Mahlia Carr surfed great to progress to the 14 Girls Final in the last heat of the day. Nyxie Ryan was very unlucky to miss the 14 Girls Final by less than 0.5 but can be proud of her surfing today. Good luck to all the Finalists on Monday

Update Monday 8th
Competitors were greeted by a more Easterly swell that was generating perfect 3'-4' peaks. Jack O'Brien started with a high 9 but left it to the last minute to get his back up and take the win in the 12's. Mahlia Carr was ripping in the big stuff and finished 3rd in the U14 Girls. Eli surfed great but couldn't find the bombs and finished 4th in the 14's.
Zac Wightman went ballistic in the lefts, nailing a sick Club Sandwich and taking out the 18's. Luke Condon was all power with some huge carves to finish 2nd behind Zac.
Max Perrot was in form for the whole event but couldn't find the higher scoring sections and finished 4th in the 50's.
Stuey had smashed everyone right through the event but had to settle for 2nd behind Willsy in the Open final.
Reuben and Duke were finalists in the push in division and had heaps of fun.
Congratulations everyone.
